ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD SNPP-TO USE IT YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET
BEFORE YOU TRY TO SEND MESSAGES USING THE PROGRAM.
To send alpha &
numeric pages using your computer and your Internet connection download
the SNPP file by clicking the linked text below, then choose "Save
this program to Disk", then choose "Ok", then choose
"Desktop", then choose "Save":
snpp_cl.exe
544KB approx. 1.5 minutes to download with a 28.8 connection.
You may also "right click" on the snpp_cl.exe
link and choose "save target as" then save it to your
desktop.
Once you have it on your desktop click it and do the following:
- Click on the
configure button
- Add IP Address
209.181.23.26
- Port should
be set as 444
- Msg send timeout
should be set to 60
- If you wish
to set-up any default messages, you can place up to 200 characters
on each line for an alphanumeric pager. Or
for numeric pagers either a 10 or 7 digit
number
- Then click
on ok.
(Note: On the left
bottom of the program there is a status line. If status says success
then you have successfully connected to our paging terminal. If
status says fail then either your IP Address is configured wrong
or you are not connected to the internet.)
